send us part numbers on the baord. I'll inquire and see if anyone has spares to give you!
The little bastards who stole my CS 2 weeks ago broke the n/s front indicator lens (new part priced at A$60 (=US$30) - I can sort-of cope with that. Deliery is ex-Germany, 6 weeks, but never mind.
BUT, they also levered off, why I don't know, the aluminium U-channel strip which runs along the top of the drivers door window glass. Now when I bought this CS 15 years ago, it was missing these bits on both sides, which I bought ex-dealer for about A$25ea (=US12, although back in 87 it was about US18). ANyway, my dealer informed me that they are available ex-Germany, for A$600 EACH. WHAT!!!!!!!. That's US$300 for a bit of aluminium. Unbelievable. Is this the committment that Mobile Tradition are making to keeping older carson the road & looking attractive? Hell's Bells!
I've dug out my old invoice & I'll make sure it's the right part number, but still! Does this sound like the right price?
Has a final question, what's the stupidest price you've heard for an E9 part? I priced a wiper motor once throught a dealer - they said A$1000 (US $500), but I think this window strip takes the prize.
cheers,
Graeme
