My certificate for my '72 CSi has the VIN, engine number (mine is original), original paint color, any other options (mine had none), the production date exactly, and the original country and distributor to which the car was delivered. In the case of my Italian delivery european spec car that's important since Italy is a warm salt free environment and many CS's from europe say they were originally delivered to Italy so that a buyer will think they are getting a car with less rust potential.

More importantly, this certificate is an official BMW document signed by representatives of BMW which should be included if you ever sell your Coupe as a basic history of the car

Pat

can someone tell me exactly what details these documents provide? the BMW website said something about VIN, engine #, chasis #, and date of delivery. does it also have things that are less obvious -- like city of delivery or original dealership?

TIA.
