you were involverd in a freak accident. Unless you were driving a real rust bucket, no exploding tire would get into the passenger cabin unless they accidently inflated it with propane under 35 psi pressure.

Directional tires provide better tracking in the preferred direction, but I assure you that they can be driven safely against the arrows. No manufacturer would ever market a tire that explodes at 3 mph in ANY direction (even sideways).

Please tell me this is some kind of sick joke.

I had Potenza SO-3's installed on my 3.0CS last weekend. As I was backing out of my parking space, the car ciolently exploded, killing my passenger and an old lady who happened to be walking too close! Turns out these are DIRECTIONAL tires (have an arrow on em), and are not meant to be driven backwards under any circumstance! Please follow appropriate precautionary measure to ensure this does not happen to you! Consider yourselves warned...
