i have a 1971 2800cs(vin#2270525).car is located in Springfield Mo. i purchased it when i lived in the bay area(northern calif)in 1993.car was stored for 5 years prior to my buying from an estate.the car has 62K(about 66K now)trip odometer gear failed a couple of years ago.car has been garaged last year and a half(started and run occasionly)i liecesed it this spring! excellent condition, never hit,no rust!color/teal ext. w/dark blue leather.scheel leather front seats(most comfortable seats i have had in a car!)carpet redone 2 years ago,interior is very nice,int. woods nice,dash is perfect/one crack corner of instrument hood.a/c blows ice cold(nippendenso conv.)blaupunkt(older)stereo system.heater/rear window def. work fine. alpia/momo wood wheel&alpina wood shift knob. car has 4-whl discs(735 series 4 piston cal.-fnt)16" alpina wheels 7" fronts/8.5"rears w/205-55/16s front&235-50/16s rear.car was set up by hardy&beck(berkely,ca.)still has H&B leather key ring.H&B suspension mods(shocks, sway bars, etc.as the car had been stored for 5 years,i replaced the radiator(H.D)8 blade fan, all hoses an belts.complete new head, chain two years ago(cylinders were perfect)1979 528i bosche F.I system installed to insure trouble free driving.new 850 amp hour batt.,k&n filter,custom built electronic dist, installed gertag 265 5-spd o/d.new pwr brake booster& master cyl, 3.42LSD.all in all i invested close to 18k in this car in total dollars it has always been lovingly cared for, never abused, never driven inclement weather. its tighter and more solid driving than most new cars i have driven.the paint is decent but needs to be redone to be correct,the windshield has a stone crack(lawn mower!!)and the left front control rod bushing bracket took a curb hit back when i first got the car(i had it realigned,drives fine!)the car has never let me down and is a true pleasure to drive. i would not hesitate to drive any where in it! i am asking $10,200 obo. if you are interested, please contact me at my e- mail address or at 417/634-4477
