I saw one advertised in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat last Sunday (pressdemo.com) where it still might be in their online classifieds, and there was one posted for sale on the board at North Bay Bavarian (707-545-0820) last week too (both near you). I haven't seen either one.

Go to the BMW corral at Laguna Seca August 18 to see a lot of 'em, usually with at least a few for sale.

I'm a 23 year old San Franciscan about to buy my first CS (thus fulfilling a life long dream)and was hoping someone might be able to provide me with some advice on two matters:
1. Can anyone recommend a solid CS mechanic in the SF area?
2. Is it better to buy a $7k range CS expecting to committ $3k extra to it? Or is it better to buy a $10k one (assuming it is even possible to decipher whether the price is proportionate to the condition)?
Thanks for the help
