What about using the motor mount brackets (the ones that mount on the engine block) from your original 3.0 on the new engine? At least measure the 2 sets and see if anything is different.
For the driveshaft, I used an auto driveshaft for my 265 conversion (in about 1987) and had to pull the front section out on the splines to get it to fit. I was worried about how this would hold up (this car has a 230HP Korman stage 2 engine), but it has survived many years and I have autocrossed it several times.
I have a later fan/clutch, but I think it is a bolt-on. There is only about 1/2" clearance from the radiator. I believe my radiator core is in the center of the side tanks.
