There is a direct K&N replacement for the dual round "annular" filters. Bavarian Motorsports ID E2630, $31.95 each. I just installed them so it's too early to tell definatively. The dual annular filters seem to present a much larger effective area, and given a constant differential pressure drop through a filter section (for either the annular or the square geometries), you'd get better air flow with the annulars than the smaller square filters. Not nearly as tight looking though.

I have Weber 32/36 progressives on the 3.0. I'll be interested in hearing your views about the dual 38s. What drove you to dual 38 DGAS? One source here thinks I'm strangling the engine--not that you can tell from throttle response and steady acceleration though.

I took the plunge and removed my triple weber DCOEs and replaced then with dual 38 DGAS'. For now, I am using the standard air filter elements and housing.

I have looked at the K/N 1.5" filters but they look more restrictive in terms of air flow. Some 2002 owners that I have talked to confirm this and went with an ITG filter. Are there other options that will work better with the duals or is the stock housing system the best? What are other CS owners doing?

As always, thanks in advance.
