so I can use a 002 distributor instead? I did see a few of those for same, perhaps I'll pick one up soon.

I'm not sure what 008 dist. David has, but it shouldn't have a vacuum advance. The 0 231 188 002 is centrifical and is the new replacement for the original 008. Ron
