yikes... please keep us informed : (

FYI - there's a 002 on eBay right now, but I want to know more about what to get exactly before I bid on anything. I'm going to talk to my mechanic about what lines it should have and I'll report back.

Oh great! What in the heck did I buy? I will get a photo of it this evening. It definately has some sort of vacuum attachment on the side of the body.

Andrey,
I'm not sure what 008 dist. David has, but it shouldn't have a vacuum advance. The 0 231 188 002 is centrifical and is the new replacement for the original 008. Ron

Andrey and David,
I just looked through my drawer of distributors and found a 6cyl. 002 dist. Then I looked at what is on my 2500 and it's the same. The 3 #'s before the 002 are 162 (unlike the 4cyl.). Maybe the 3#'s before on the 008 are different as well. I don't have an 008 4cyl. to compare. I think you're still in need of building one w/ the 002 centrifigal base. Ron
