apparantly that's what a guy on the E3 mailing list did for his. I will resort to that if I don't find a complete unit.

Right now, I am running it with the cavuum hoses unplugged.

Carl Nelson says that there is no Bosch mechanical distributor for the m30 motor. He says he likes the advance-only one from the 1969 cars.

I met a guy today who has parts lying around from his old Bavaria 2800 he used to own, and he may have a mechanical distributor he can give me. I'll post an update if that works out, with part numbers and such.

Any other ideas out there?

Could you somehow modify the piece that slips over the dist. cam from a 6cyl. Pertronics unit onto a 2002 dist. by just doing some cutting out of the plastic? Ron
