It's gorgeous, straight, very original, probably genuine 60K. But, it does have rust: rockers will need to be replaced, at lease one fender is going from the inside-bottom. Firewall looks good, floors good but will need a little work. Trunk looked very good, but shock towers were covered. Interior very good, headliner like new. Triangles under fenders full of sand but not rot. Rear quarters seemed fine. Glass clear. The car was repainted and has bondo in various spots, and one new fender, I think. There was also a curious splash of black undercoating in the rear tire well, above the tire. which did not look factory-like at all. Mechanically seemed excellent. What do you think? I think I'll have it checked out by a shop and get an estimate. Any recc's for a good one in eastern mass?

and check for a rusted-out spare-tire well.

while you're in there, examine the area right around the jack. there's some foam that acts like a sponge for water.

and since we're talking about the rear of the car, i think it's a good idea to pop out the back seats. it takes seconds -- they remove one at a time just by lifting them up. this will expose lots of possible corrosion.

best of luck & tell us what you discover.
