HD cleanse works really well on chrome and plastic; it's just sticky enough to pull off layers of dirt with being too harsh.

as for the chromed grills, try CNPR. i think they re-chrome them and keep sets that are already done on hand. it ain't cheap though.

if you'd rather send them out to be chromed, try hemmings. they always have a number of advertisers who chrome plastic. (again, it's pricey.)
