What a clean install!
Do you have a WWW page somewhere with information on your swap? Would an E34 M30B35 fit? I don't think it is much different from what appears to be the E28 motor in your car, but I'd rather have the advantage of the later motor, whatever it is.
I'd also be _very_ interested in underside pictures, any suspension mods, brake upgrades, your opinion of refinement of the overall package, selection of mounts and the like. For my own planned swap I am interested in making the car as refined as possible . . . and the power and torque. An a noise, vibrations and harshness engineer I can work on this a bit, but if you've gone through it already it would save me time.
My intent is to use it as a daily driver. As with all my BMW work, this conversion, too, will be fully documented.
Thanks.

If you want a good performance along with reliability, the 3.5 with Motronic and a 5/spd is the way to go. I talked to Kurt who had this done at the Laguna weekend and he just loved it. I have a 3.5 with my original D-jet and a 5 spd on my CSi and that car is very quick compared to the CSL that I just got.
