Replacing AM/FM Antenna for 3.0cs (archive)

Looking to replace my current am/fm antenna (non power) with a Harada or Hirschmann power antenna. It is mounted on top left front fender. Some questions which I have are:
1. Are their different sizes of power antennas. ?
2. Will a power antenna fit in the wheel well opening.
3. Has anyone done this and can they provide the manufacture and model number of the antenna they installed.
