I removed the turnsignal/wiper stalk, cleaned the area and then sprayed electical contact cleaner into the switch. I was surprised how much dark dust stuff (that's the technical term) came out. I really don't know if it worked or simply moved the gremlin on to another location, because my clock stopped working shortly thereafter. As a minimum, use a resistance meter and see what's going on in the switch (detached from the circuit of course)--then you'll know if it's the stalk that's toast.

My wipers are suddenly not working. I tested the wiper moter and it works with power supplied directly. The washer pump still operates so I know the fuse is ok. The turn signals work fine. When I push in the end of the wand a distinct click is still heard. Is there some way to open the end of the wand? Any other suggestions? Is there someone out there with a spare right hand signal/washer switch?
Thanks,
H
