Lotus Espirit or early Ferrari 308GTI are both all glass bodied cars. You'd never know it if its been painted probably.

As long as the glass is properly sealed (good gel coat or epoxy primer) it should paint and shine just like metal.

I am interested in the long term effects of fiberglass PANELS: doors, quarters, hood, trunk lid. How well do they hold a shine when properly painted?
