VIN 221xxxx is a euro 3.0 4 speed car. Blue plate 761NYV? is about vintage '76.
Therefore a eurospec model brought over when about 3-4 years old. If brought over from Germany, still plenty prone to rust after 3-4 years there; if brought over from Italy, same as being an LA car.
FWIW, the Bimmer's Clinic is a fairly respected repair shop in SoCal area.
