I have a '69 Jag that came originally with blue and yellow plates. The last time I checked into registering the car I said I wanted to keep the plates and they said I'd have to pay the "vanity" plate fees. Not sure this is still the case.

I wish I knew the story behind the plates on my car. The plates say 690 LDJ, which is a standard issue numbered plate from that time. The interesting part is that if you take the space out it says 69OLDJ. 69 OLD J 8-)
