I heard that those spokes were specially designed/constructed to collapse on collision--before or after chest fracture wasn't clear, nor the prospect of a now denuded hub piercing your sternum...:) of course, sitting 2' away from an explosive charge (air bag) brings a certain excitement to driving as well!

I get almost as many compliments on my Nardi wheel as I do on the car itself. It feels great although a nice (smaller) Alpina wheel would be nice as well. The Mahogany color offsets the other wood in the car nicely. It just seesm to fit right cosmetically. And the Nardi signature is a neat touch.

On the downside, I don't think I would want to "face plant" one in an accident. Good thing I have those incredibly safe and original 2800 seat belts that constantly fall of my shoulder :).

Speaking of seatbelts, Michael...

I am looking for a wooden Nardi, for a 3.0CS, if someone has one for sale, or knows where to look, please let me know
