...I managed to talk my way into the Karmann Karosserie Museum some 12 years ago when travelling in Europe (I live in Australia). Actually I made a special trip to Osnabrück for that purpose - I may have been the only tourist ever to visit that particular city!

Anyway, while examining the very interesting collection of cars they had there, I found "their" E9, in silver, sitting beside an E24 6 series. Certainly it was very attractive on the outside - and what I could see of the interior (locked doors) looked very respectable. But...now that I come to think of it, I might be the only visitor to the Karmann Museum who's dropped to his knees and fossicked around under the exhibits! Anyway, little bits of dirt & rusty steel fell down when I went for that little 'open triangle' at the rear top of the front wings.

We are not alone in our problems!!!
