A couple of years ago I bought a pair of K&N filters to put on the dual webers on my 3.5 liter coupe. I bought these after to the K&N rep who said I could expect improved performance over the JCWhitney filters I had. Well I put on the K&Ns, and was duly unimpressed. So a couple of weeks later I spent my Sunday morning doing timed runs, in both directions, 60-80mph in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears, with the K&Ns, and then with the JCWhitney filters. Well, the JCWhitneys were faster by about 1/4 sec. As to the filtering ability, I have no evidence to go by, except the JCW's do get dirty and are cleanable.

The K&Ns were returned with this explanation and a full refund given.
