Camshaft cover oil leak (archive)

Finally have the 3.5 motor w/triple webers and 292 camshaft and 5-sp installed and running in my '73 3.0cs. Other than much needeed tuning on the webers I have only one problem (that I know of so far at least). The camshaft cover at the rear of the motor is leaking heavily. Almost too much for just a gasket. Were the 6 bolts supposed to have sealant on them as well? I remember a thick washer being on one of the bolts, hopefully I reinstalled it correctly. I think it was at the bolt at the 1-2 'o clock position. Is that correct?
