September 16th E3/E9 Portland, OR Meet and Drive (archive)

The Northwest E9 Coupe and E3 Bavaria groups are hosting a meet and drive on September 16th. All BMW types are welcome; drivers of late model BMW's should be prepared for vintage crazies to proselytize on the joys of carburation, 70 series tires, manual steering, etc., before begging for rides. At this point we have about equal participation from '02, Coupe, Bavaria and modern types.

Sunday, September 16: Coupes and Bavarias invade Portland, Oregon for the Around the Mountain Run. We will meet at historic Fort Vancouver (9-10AM), drive up the Columbia Gorge (Washington side) to Hood River for a noon light lunch at the Full Sail Brewery. Driving south after lunch there will be time for pictures and sightseeing at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, then return to Portland. We will have 5:00 supper at Der Reinlander German Restaurant with time for the out of towners to blast home after. If not joining us for the drive, show up at the morning meet (beautiful BMW's old and new will be on display) or for dinner.
