elbow grease, a blow-toarch/heat/whatever,
note that the tar paper covers seams,
so unless those sheet metal seams were welded
and then ground smooth it's prolly got putty under the pretty paint. Darn clean lookin, though. At least he didn't put NEW tarpaper on before paint and sand it smooth -- THAT is a lil much (can you say "over-restoring"?)
