I actually have an article on how to attempt clock repair and in previous attempts have managed to get to the left most instrument with the fuel and temperature gauges, accessing from the lower dash, but the clock seemed pretty much out of reach. Again thanks for your help

I think the clock is the only one you can actually get to the nuts on without removing the whole thing. Take the lower dash out and take a look, I think it's the clock that's doable.
