The complete console with switches, A/C faceplate and side vent grilles has to come out. Be extremely cautious when removing the temp switch, it has a long (approx. 1 foot) feeler tube attached. These things are prone to break and are apparently impossible to repair.
You then need to pull the evaporator/airbox assembly and A/C wiring harness.
I need various A/C parts for my '72 CSi (first and foremost, the prone-to-brak temp switch) and could help out with non A/C parts (esp. a storage console). E-mail me directly if interested.
