I recently rebuilt the calipers (front and rear) on my CSi. (The directions on the Senior Six site are very good!). When I got it completed, I bled the system, and have been driving it... but have a couple of problems. First, when I put my foot on the brake, the engine speed goes up and stays up at about 1500 rpm.... not matter the temperature of the engine. Second, the pressure to stop appears to be harder than before. Finally, even after bleeding the system, it still has some squish in the peddle. My question is: does this sound like the booster is leaking, or the master cylinder, or both? I have a replacement master cylinder but it is SLIGHTLY different than the one on it (the stop screw is on the bottom instead of the top) so I have not replaced it yet.... I hear that there are different bore versions based on the year. Mine is a 72 CSi so harder to find parts for....
Thanks if you know anything....
Mark
