well like I said, your defroster switch will then need to be a pull-knob on the shift console rather than where it is and your wiper switch will come out and be replaced by the stalk one (the Bav stuff looks the same to me, so parts should be easy to get). The 74 steering column is very different from yours, but it may not be a problem.

not worth the effort IMO, but if it really bugs you go for it, it's your car.
