Has anyone made the left stalk on a 72 CS turn signal and high beam switch and made the right washer only? Does this bother anyone else out there?

I am currently undertaking a complete restoration of my 73 CS. I have the dash, steering column and steering surround completely removed and was planning on switching the turns signal and headlight positions. I cannot see any reason why this can't be done, but it does entail getting pretty deep in to the bowels of the dash. The mounting plates for both switches are identical and are held to teh steering column with the same screws in the same pattern. The tough part for someone with an "assembled" car is that you need to disconnect each switch where it's multi-pin connector makes its ingress to the rest of the wiring harness. You need to do this so you can reroute the wires so the switches will reach their new mounting places. I just did this and while the car is not back together, I can see no reason why it wouldn't work. Additionally, you'll need to move the turn signal cancelling "tab" which is pressed in to the steering wheel boss 180 degrees from its normal position (I have no idea which position this is, presumably either 6 or 12 o'clock)
