Im still waiting to get the time to drive back out to this shit hole town. I exect to be greeted by a toothless sloth who claims to be sticking a chevy motor in it or something and just has not gotten around to it.

Should I drive my 89 honda civic wagon or my 89 BMW 325is to meet this guy?

Won't matter, unless you're independently wealthy you'll have to sell both cars to finance the restoration of this car. Any coupe that's been sitting for that long, especially anywhere in Northern California will need MAJOR amounts of cash infusion. You may be very very very lucky adn only have minimal amounts of rust to fix, but if the car is as you described it, and you want it to look like the coupes you see in the books, there is a lot of blood, sweat and tears between you and that goal. Take it from me, I know, I'm living it. Spend $20-$25K and buy a nice CSi or CSL that someone else spent all their time and money on. Then drive it, except when it rains.
