Steering column angle (archive)

I had a CSL some years ago and now have a CSi and its only since I started driving this one that I realised one of the things that drives me crazy about the E9 is the steering column angle.

Unless you're 6' and above the rake is far to steep for comfort. In fact if you're using a Momo or similar, the angle at which your hands address the wheel is reminiscent of driving a tractor. Doing some reading of contemporary reviews of the CSi/L has shown it to be a common criticism even then.

Has anyone investigated altering the rake on the column?
