I eliminated the main muffler and rerouted to outlet of the center resonator to run to the drivers side (vice the passenger side). I retained the tiny rear muffler.

It's 35 # or so lighter, sounds great, and the noise is only bothersom on trips of 3 hrs or more. No definitive #'s on performance.

I have a custom bent section of straight pipe if someone is interested in simply replacing the main muffler with a pipe. Used only a month. Cost $25 plus shipping. Though to be honest you can probably have a local exhaust shop bend you a new one for the same price.
