Check for a short 3" fuel line under the intake manifold. I have had to replace and tighten mine in my 535is (M30) a few times to get rid of gas stink.

I have a gas smell in the car, not exhaust. It's there before I start the engine. Have replaced trunk hoses. Engine is M30 injected. Couldn't find anything in the archives.

Any ideas on diagnosis?

Thanks
