The D-Jet is a batch fire system, and though I don't remember the batching arrangement, 5 and 6 firing alone is NOT how it's supposed to be. Try an internet search for D-Jetronic and I think you'll find the Bosch manual at a Porsche 914 or VW enthusiast site. Somehow I think there are two batches - but don't remember which goes with who.
