PS:I spent a couple years in Nelson, had a Wolsley 690 then. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson about old and odd cars.....;-)

I went and looked at the car. The bright work and the interior were all there and in good condition. Paintwork looked lovely until closer inspection. Turns out the resto was 12 years old. It was re-rotting in all the classic places, strut housings, seam between inner and outer sills, rear valence, around the vents on the bonnet, bumpers holed, etc etc.
Anyway as the bank account is all ready a bit stretched before buying the car let alone the repairs I've decided to wait, again. The car was priced at NZ$13k which is probably not too bad considering it needs about NZ$10k worth of work. I hope that wasn't my last crack at owning an E9...
