why won't my trunk open ?? (archive)

I cleaned the coupe yesterday, anticipating that the beautiful weather here on the east coast won't last much longer. In any event, I went to open my truck to dry out the inside area, I unlocked the trunk, pushed the button and the trunk lid did not open. The button depressed, but it was as if the trunk button was in the lock position.

Has this ever happen to anyone else and if so, how do I get the trunk to open again.
