If nothing else works you can open the fuel flap and peel the boot back enough to reach inside the trunk. Remove the tailite assembly and reach in and press the release for the trunk latch. I have done this before in a similar situation, it's a pain but it's the only other way I know to open the rear deck lid. Then you can access the lock cylinder and correct the problem.
