The Bavaria (four door models) is the E3. Trick response.

I'd try any older bimmer you coulr get your hands on, but if you stripped the splines on the post mounted on the car (rather than the arm) you got a problem.

One solution to stripped posts (if you can't/don't/won't get a good one) is to cross drill and stick in a roll pin or similar cotter to lock the arm to the post. This is a last resort for those who REALLY want to nigger-rig their wipers.
