the spline, is that the part that sticks up beneath the windshield? if so, the only real fix is to replace it - replacement wipers work for awhile but the real problem is that the splines strip. talk to Carl at La Jolla - he advised me to replace them, i did and life was much more satisfying afterwards.

Try an E3 (I think)
Well, today did snow in Seattle. So like a fool did not clear the snow off the windshield that's what the wipers are for, isn't? anyway the driver side wiper arm spline housing got striped (too much weight). Question; from what other BMW series besides the Baviaran, windshield arm would fit on my CS.
