For what its worth, if your going to do it, I would go for the webers as parts are easily obtainable and the carbs could be replaced if required.

Used prices are tough. I would think that $125 to $150 each would be fair if they need a rebuild ($150 per to rebuild professionally). New ones are less than $400 each.
