Help again pls: Power window motors Duh! (archive)

I wonder if I've stuffed this up.

I bought two E12 window motors to replace those in the front of my 73 CSi. When I took the original motors out, the shafts are approximately 3" in length whereas the E12 motors have shafts barely an inch long. Obviously they won't substitute.

Have I bought the wrong motors or are the motors in my CSi different from factory specs? Or are they american rather than European specs. Any insight would be gratefully etc etc.
