I have been looking and I really like the look of the 3.0Csi. On average, what can I expect to pay for a 3.0 with an average body (minor rust okay), and a blown engine. It is pretty evident that I am looking for a project car here. Is it possible to put the early M30 engine (like from a 1979 Euro 635) in a 3.0 CSi. I also have a dogleg tranny I might like to put in a 3.0 if it fits or can be modified.

I'm just "board hopping" today and was on the hemmings motor news web site; one is a '72 3.0cs, California car, 5 speed, top end rebuild, unrestored, rust free, $5500.00 (photo link with this car ); another is a '72 4 speed "cs", sunroof, $8800.00, located in Illinois; a couple others at around $11k and $14k.
