Also, the seatbelts do look orginal (not same as my 73 anyway). My question is how or what the fixed end (not reel portion) is fastened to the body? Anyone know?
1) Never a CSL has been baged CSiL (this badge does not exist)
2) This badge is a customized one
3) When speaking of a CSiL, BMW speaks of the very last CSL batch produced 1974-1975 ( VIN# 4355 031 - 4355 057) even if those cars are 1973 (!) models for BMW (former models being 1972 models for BMW)
4) Most of the Carb CSL's were simply badged CS. Only the very last produced (fuel injected cars already in production)have been badged CSL
5)(late) Carb CSL'S as well as fuel injected CSL's are then badged CSL (even if the last named are fuel injected cars)
6) BMW CSL own figures are wrong: some documentation refers to big RHD production figures (optimistic production figures) and I even saw RHD 1973 production figures, although no 1973 RHD CSL has ever been produced (no RHD counterpart for the 4355 xxx LHD cars)
7) Seems hard to be sure of the colour on the pictures... Fjord ?
