Thing is, you want it to look as nice in 5 years as it does now, THAT is the reason they use a catalysed finish I am told.

I tried varathane on a few pieces once, but it did not hold up for very long at all... A car interior is a really brutal environment for wood finishes!

I can check into it more on Wednesday if you like, but I know they will not tell me 'exactly' what they use but they will tell me something similar as we have known each other for a long time.


I am testing the Satin Varathane Diamond Wood Finish (oil based) sprayer. It doessn't say anyhting about epoxy on the can. I'll check into that too. Thanks.
