as in the case with your friend who sold is M.B. through ebay, it can be a very effective tool to sell an item.

One of the problems is it also attracts all the "crackpot thrillseekers" who ask a whole lot of questions and at time just want to talk about cars, but are truly not interested. I wish ebay could figure out a way to filter/screen these type of people out for larger ticket items (ie: classic and sport cars). Perhaps some sort of deposit system for intertested parties only. Kind of like buying into a high stakes poker game.
