in the US, there are the bumpers. I personally really dislike them, but some people don't mind them. The other differences are interior related, different (better) positions for various switches and buttons mainly, not a big problem. The parts for the pre-74's will be though to find, and so will the '74/75 interior parts, ah well. The seatbelts are better on the front. The smog equipment you can just remove if you're exempt, but the bumpers are my biggest gripe.

Anyway, if the bumpers don't bother you, go for a '74 - no reason that it's less desirable other than that.
