if you're inclined to restore an E9, then the difference between restoring a '74 vs. pre-'74 is pretty minor. it's an ambitious/expensive undertaking regardless of which year. you'll find the parts for either type are out there, particularly from members of this list (and many of the '74-specific parts are inter-changeable with equivalent parts from the earlier cars.)
