JMO if you are having overheating problems:
Things to check, make sure it's not a cracked or warped head, ignition timing, or lean a/f mixture,
check the belt tension.
Things to replace, R&R the water pump, R&R the thermostat, have the cooling system (block and head cleaned) with chemicals that will clean the deposits/blockages caused by oxidation, check all of the heater hose/bypass hose fittings (sometimes rust can plug up those metal fittings), have your radiator rodded out, or replace the radiator with a newer later aluminium/plastic unit if possible. Don't do a four core because the radiator shops can never seem to solder the brackets back on correctly, which means your radiator will most likely not clear the cooling fan. Go with an aluminium one, as it will dissapate heat much better than brass!

Any body on this board uses 4 core radiator?
Mine is 3 core and I'm thinking of making it 4 core.
I want to make sure its worth it. Because as I understand they will have to use smaller diameter pipes, to accommodate the maximum width of the radiator (approx. 2")
The 3 core radiator will have larger diameter tubes than the 4 core. Since my 3 cores already accommodates the maximum width of the radiator.
So is 4 smaller cores better that 3 bigger diameter cores and why???
