Those are all good check points. I have tried some of them...
I think I might have found the problem for ideal traffic overheating.
I just had my 3 core radiator cleaned, and found out internally on the side of the radiator there is a sealed ONE tube heat exchanger for the automatic transmission.
But same is not being used since I have a separate radiator for the auto transmission.
I have asked the DUDE to re-open the radiator and remove the ONE tube heat exchanger from the side (MO money, No money...).
IMO I think the tube on the side (Min. 1" to 1.5" Dia and 8" to 10" high) is restricting / slowing the coolant passage through the cores at low RPM's / ideal bumper to bumper traffic.
Also I'm converting to 5 speed ...
