If it's from 1970 it certainly has a mechanical speedometer drive so that should not be a problem. By bel housing I mean the front portion which bolts to the gearbox, in the shape of a bell (where the clutch is).

I'm not aware of any Getrag 5-speeds from '70 though, pershpas it's a ZF? More likely I don't know about it though.
